I am delighted that our popular annual event which explores business opportunities in America’s fourth most populous city is to go ahead – in spite of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The eighth annual Aberdeen-Houston Gateway had originally been due to take place in its traditional format at the end of March and it will now go ahead during week commencing May 4th, in spite of the health crisis – by embracing technology and adopting an all-new digital format.
Replacing the traditional visits, meetings and showcase lunch with speakers in Aberdeen will be a series of free podcasts, webinars and online discussions which will be aired during the week, giving a unique opportunity for delegates to come together and do business in a virtual way.
Linking the North East of Scotland with the energy capital of the world, the annual Aberdeen-Houston Gateway has become a much-anticipated fixture on the business calendar since it was first held in 2013. This year, the event will be held in association with the Greater Houston Partnership and G-Tech Innovation Centre supported by the Energy Industries Council (EIC) and Scottish Development International (SDI).
The Aberdeen-Houston Gateway is supported by Caxton FX, The British Consulate-General Houston, The Energy Industries Council, The Greater Houston Partnership, The Houston-Grampian Association, The Woodlands Area Economic Development Partnership, G-Tech Innovation Centre, Keller Williams, McGill & Associates, Scottish Development International, Ziyen.
I hope you will be able to join us for the dawn of an exciting new chapter in the Aberdeen-Houston Gateway journey. To find out more about The Aberdeen-Houston Gateway, visit
