Company Background
Brett Jackson founded Granite PR Limited in January 2008 with the purpose of combining his four main passions in life: business, the media, networking and the North-east of Scotland. Brett has been involved in the media for over 20 years and drew on his experience working at a local, regional and national level to provide a solid, reliable service to the company's clients. The work of the company allows him to follow his passions every day.
Starting as a one-man-band in 2008, Brett has seen his client base grow and he now heads a team of six freelancers who bring over 120 years of experience in print and broadcast journalism, editorial, business and PR to the company's clientele. As part of the company's growth, various added value services have been introduced to further enhance the services offered to Granite PR's clients.
2009 saw the publication of the Granite Times newsletter, a first in the local PR market, to coincide with Offshore Europe 2009. The newsletter is circulated to clients, associates and the media and has steadily grown in popularity since its creation.
In February 2010, as Granite PR celebrated its second birthday, Granite Networks was launched to offer a further opportunity for clients, associates and the media to network in a professional but fun atmosphere. There are two Granite Networks events per year.
Granite Interactive, Granite PR's sister company, was launched in January 2011 at the third Granite Networks event to offer web and corporate films to clients. This includes services such as film for the web, YouTube and client DVDs for distribution at trade shows.
